Embroidery
Embroidery is a method where designs are stitched into the fabric with yarn.
Why it matters
Embroidery mechanically anchors thread into a textile and can be a durable decoration for logos and graphics. Durability depends on thread, stitch density, digitising, stabilisation, fabric and care.
Embroidery works especially well when motif size and detail suit stitch construction. Very large or extremely fine graphics may be better served by another process.
More stitch density is not automatically better: excessive density can distort or stiffen fabric, while insufficient density can reduce coverage and definition.
No process is universally the first choice. Screen printing, embroidery and other decoration methods solve different design, hand-feel and durability requirements.
