Editorial Principles
Why we publish content
The Performance Lab publishes content when it helps people better understand training, nutrition, recovery or gymwear.
We do not write to reach the highest possible number of pages. We write when a topic offers clear value and can be explained carefully.
How we phrase our statements
Fitness and health can rarely be explained in absolute terms. That is why we distinguish between established fundamentals, practical recommendations, estimates and open questions.
Where context is necessary, we provide it. Where a method has limitations, we name them.
How we choose sources
We prefer primary literature, systematic reviews, recognised professional bodies and official institutions. We do not invent sources, and we do not adopt a claim simply because it is repeated often.
How our calculators are built
Every calculator states its underlying method, key assumptions and known limitations. Results are presented as guidance, not as a diagnosis or a guarantee.
Corrections and updates
When we find an error or can improve an explanation, we revise the page. Substantial changes may be documented in a version history.
Commercial independence
Body Supremacy funds the Performance Lab through premium gymwear. Content, calculators and planners are not written to push users towards a purchase.
We are visible as a brand: the navigation and the footer link to the Body Supremacy shop on every page. That is standard site navigation, not an editorial recommendation.
Within content, product recommendations appear only where they fit the topic — for example in articles about gymwear materials or the history of the brand. In health, training and nutrition content, and in calculators and planners, we do not interrupt an explanation with a product recommendation.
