Combed Cotton
Combed cotton is cotton whose fibers are aligned and stripped of shorter fibers with fine combs before spinning.
Why it matters
Combing produces longer, more even fibers. The result is a softer hand, a smoother surface and less pilling over time — most visible at mid and higher GSM.
The process is more involved than uncombed standard cotton, which makes combed cotton more expensive.
Combined with ringspun yarn and higher GSM, it delivers the premium look and feel of quality t-shirts.
Common misconception: “combed” is a quality stamp on its own. It only pays off in combination with yarn, knit and construction.
